Shawn had a few friends over for a birthday party last Friday. We had pizza and some ice cream cake. During which the conversation consisted of:
- the definition of "fart"
-a girl named Brooklyn whom Shawn has been in love with since first grade
-and Ty belching.
I ate my ice cream cake in my scrapbook room.
We then went to Boondocks. All the boys were fighting over who got to ride in the Jeep. I guess the "losers" of the fight got to ride with my in the 'burban. Sorry, boys!
We got the boys a 3 hour unlimited pass to anything Boondocks has to offer. They liked the go carts the best. they came back with stories of spin outs and about some guy getting kicked out. Me? What did I do during all this fun? I got to stay with Nick and Cody at the Kiddie Cove where unsupervised kids ran up the slide. I yelled at a few of them. One even fell on Cody while he was sliding down and hurt him. I yelled at that little boy. I'm a bad person. But freakin' don't climb up the slide!
It was a fun night. We got home around 10:30 and all went to bed. then Cody was up at the happy time of 6:30am. Lucky Me!

Somebody Farted
My boys were anxiously waiting friends to show up for Shawn's bday party when they saw a couple of neighbor girls attempting to door bell ditch us. They quickly opened the door and caught them. They ran away and my boys yell out,"You guys farted!" "Yeah, you guys farted!" Apparently Kyle had a balloon and deflated it making a farting noise. Classic!

10 years of Parenting
My first born, Shawn, turned 10 years old this past weekend. Wow!
And of course he wanted a Jeep cake. A fluorescent glow-in-the-dark gecko green jeep cake.
I did my best.
We both looked ast it and I say,"At least I'm getting better at making Jeep cakes, right?" Shawn stares at the cake and just goes, "Ehhhh??!!"
We had a bbq with my fam to celebrate.
Jess is a retard...but I love her!
This guy, Rick, broke 3 chairs during this bbq. THREE chairs!!!
Dad and my bro dave at the grill.
Shawn decided he wanted to open presents outside so that Nana could see. Nana was in her wheelchair and can't go up the stairs. Shawn is so thoughtful!
His fav, Modecai and Rigby shirt! Ooooooooohhh!
"yeah, look at my gifts!"
It was a fun time.
Shawn was excited to light his own candles.
It took a bit for him to figure out how. He relit the candles for Cody to blow out.
See what I mean...he's thoughtful!
My darling one eyed granny!
Chris and Dalila. Dalila is saying something in French I'm sure. Probably "Huuuh huuu hoooh!" (You know, the laugh that French people do in movies)
Dave making fun of Dalila.
Then the boys played "basketball." It was pathetic. They couldn't hit the net at all.
My dad even jumped in to play. Wow!
"Jump Ball!!"
It was a great day for Shawn. We had such a fun time with family!

Cause for Divorce
Ty is a Jeep Man. The first time I fell in love with him was me seeing him in his White Jeep in high school. So hot. He has had other jeeps since then, even rolled one. He loves them. So he has been wanting one for quite a while, he was just waiting for my "okay". Ty has been working so hard and lately he has become stressed from working all the time. So I finally said "okay". He wasted no time for fear that I would go back on my word. He looked online and saw this bright florescent glows-in-the-dark gecko green. He knew it was the one. He didn't even see it in person before he signed the papers. He just knew he would love it. And he does! So do all the boys.
Our first ride in it.
Yep, Ty still looks hot driving a Jeep! Especially with his hat turned backwards...yum!
So if Ty and I ever do seperate you will know the reason why...
His mistress....the Jeep.

Don't Listen to Him
Yesterday Nick was having a freak out. He wanted to go out and sell candy to all the kids in the neighborhood. Only problem was that all the kids in the neighborhood were at school. He didn't understand that and he had a 45 minute freak out. During his freak outs he says bad things. Sometimes it even sounds like he is cursing but we can't tell what he is saying. During his rant he yells, "I hate, Mommy. Mommy not awesome." etc. I take him to his room. It takes all my strength, energy, and muscles to carry him there. He was clinging to a chair in which I had to pry his fingers off of it to lift him up. While he was in his room he was still screaming,"I hate Mommy. She so MEAN!..." Cute and sweet Cody says to me in his sweetest little voice, "Don't listen to him, Mommy. I love you. Just don't listen to him!" Oh, it melted my heart! He is a sweetie pie and I am so lucky to have him! Eventually Nick stopped his freak out and came out of his room.

It's Possible!
Did you know that it is possible to burn spaghetti? Oh, it is! I found that out tonight. I put the noodles in and 12 mins later some of them were black. I took those noodles out and dished the Non-burn ones onto the dishes. They still had flecks of burn in them though so before anyone could see them (cuz I know the boys would make a BIG fuss and not eat any) I hurried and put the sauce on top. Phew.

Endured not Enjoyed
“In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.”
― Gordon B. Hinckley
― Gordon B. Hinckley
I have this quote on my wall in my home. It is my favorite.
It reminds me to enjoy life.
But recently I have just been enduring it.
I am feeling all sorts of pressures to be the "perfect" mom and wife.
I feel others, in my own family even, judge me.
My house is a mess.
I hyperventilate every time I come home.
I need to stop worrying about others and focus on me and my family.
Screw those who look down upon us.
Embrace the mess.
Messy House: My fault.
We've been having problems with Kyle.
So bad, in fact, that we are now seeing a psychiatrist.
How awesome is that?
It is really depressing to think as your child as "depressed" at age 8.
And he's been this way for a long time.
So what did I do wrong?
Was it because I was depressed during his pregnancy?
Did I not hug him enough?
Depression runs in my family.
Depressed Kid: My fault. My jeans.
Nick is in Speech therapy.
We can hardly understand him.
I took Speech when I was little.
Speech Problems: My fault. My jeans again.
I'm not a good cook.
I wish with all my might that I could cook good meals.
No one has taught me.
I try new things but they usually don't work out.
My mom didn't cook for me when I was growing up.
Bad meals: My fault.
I am just enduring each day right now.
It's difficult.
No one understands/cares.

Carl's Jr - It will change your LIFE!!!
Yesterday Ty went to lunch with all of us to Carl's Jr. The food there makes me sick so I just got thir yummy Oreo Shake. I highly suggest it. As we sat there eating, I brought it to Ty's attention that Carl's Jr is where we first met about 13 years ago. Not at the exact Carl's Jr we were at, the Bountiful one.
Anyway, my "boy friend" at the time took me and some of his friends to lunch at Carl's Jr. during our high school lunch break. I sat down next to this one guy who I thought was so cute. I kept looking over at him and listened to him while he went on and on about how he went to Australia that past Summer. I kept thinking, gosh, he is HOT! He had his hat turned backward and was just cute!
Then we all climbed in to Jeeps. I was in a bright yellow "sun" one and the hot guy was in a white one. We raced back to the school and I just kept thinking how I wanted to be in the white jeep and not in the "sun" jeep. After that lunch I thought I wouldn't see him again.
But, lo and behold, I kept passing this hot guy in the hall on the stairs every "B" day. He would say, "Hello, Deb!" to me every time as we passed. I would say Hi and as I continued up the stairs I would have this HUGE grin on my face. Wow! A hot guy said HI to me! That never happens! I would always tell my girlfriends about it and gush how cute this guy was.
A couple months later was the Spring Fling, the last Stomp of the year. My bff and I danced the whole night when I saw the HOT guy. We talked and he said that I owed him a dance. I'm all okay! So me and friend and I kept dancing and when the next slow song came on, (From This Moment by Shania Twain) he found me and we danced. He commented on how wet my back was. I told him I had gotten into a water fight earlier when in all actuality I was just really really sweaty from dancing! Gross, I know! But he believed me. When the song ended he had to go to Denny's with some friends so he wrote his pager number on my arm (yes, he had a pager! This was a time when cell phones weren't available to everything that breathed!) and I put my number on his pager. Thinking I would never see him again I was sad.
But, 10am the next morning he called!!! He was going to come over in 20 mins!!! I didn't have time to shower (remember how sweaty I was??!! Ewww!). We spent the whole day together. He even had 2 other dates arranged for that night (what a player!) but he canceled them! And that was the start of Ty and my beautiful relationship!
Who knew that sitting in a booth at Carl's Jr could change your life!
Ty told me today that he went out of his way to go down those stairs the same time I was going up just to see me!!! How sweet is that?! It makes me get butterflies in my stomach again!

Workout Buddies!
Ty and I workout every morning to Insanity. It's rough! The boys always join us after they wake up. They try to do all the moves we do and give us encouragement like,"Daddy's so strong and you're not, Mommy, cuz you're a girl!" and "Mommy can't do this but Daddy can because he has big muscles!" They are so nice to help us out!
They do a pretty good job. They also love our Shakeology. They always ask for some so they can "get big muscles like Daddy, not baby ones like Mommy!"
We are more then half way through the insane Insanity 60 day program. It is getting harder and harder! But it is cool to do something together and encourage each other. Even though Ty always makes fun of my Mummy Kicks.
