I've been postponing this post for a while.

Ty's brother, Troy, and his wife, Sarah, recently lost their son, Kaden, when he was 9 days old. He had an unknown heart defect. The doctor's operated on him but it was not enough. He passed away on March 9th. It has been a difficult couple of weeks. I don't think I have ever cried so hard. On top of that, I was asked to give a talk on the 13th, the day after his funeral. It really sums up the feelings and emotions I have.

Sister Sherri L Dew said "It's not good nor is it intended, for any of us to be alone. The pain of loneliness seems to be part of the mortal experience."
Sherri L Dew shared this story, "It has been nearly 3 years since I received a dreaded early morning phone call. My youngest brother had suffered a heart attack and died during the night. In an instant, and without warning, my most trusted friend was gone. During the next few days many who loved Steve and his family traveled to Colorado to attend the funeral. But it wasn't until after the funeral that I realized that seven dear friends of mine had made the long trip from Salt Lake to attend the service. Not one of them had ever met my brother. They had come to support me. You can imagine the emotions as they encircled me and one of them said, "We just didn't want you to be alone today."
This past week I have witnessed a similar experience as Sister Dew shared...
This past week I have witnessed a similar experience as Sister Dew shared...
As I mentioned in my testimony last week, our nephew was born with heart problems. The doctors did all they could but in the end, his heart just could not handle keeping him alive. They took him off life support and he passed away Weds. afternoon. At Kaden's funeral yesterday, my sweet sister in law, Sarah, showed me a cute necklace that had a charm on it of her sons picture. Her friend gave it to her but her friend had gotten it from one of her friends who didn't even know Sarah. Another Sister, who again, had never met Sarah or Troy, made them a shadow box of Kaden's hospital bracelets and hand cast and other things. I know these Sisters were inspired and prompted by the Holy Ghost to make these gifts for them. To give them comfort not only for that day where they buried their baby, but to give them comfort through out their life.
Because of this weeks events, I had a difficult time with this talk. I wasn't even sure if I should speak.... My thoughts turned to the subject of my talk. And I thought how can anything or anyone possibly give comfort and peace after losing a precious child. I prayed for my brother and sister in law. I prayed they would find comfort some how. I was having a hard time about this also. A song popped into my mind, "Abide with me 'tis even tide." I went online and found the song and listened and watched the pictures on the screen. They were pictures of Jesus holding children. Taking care of them. I felt comfort. I knew that baby Kaden was going to be in Jesus' arms. The HG testified that to me. It is still a trial to go through but knowing he is safe with Christ, brings comfort. And that Comfort comes from Heavenly Father through the HG. Maybe it was the HG who prompted the Bishopric to ask me to talk today on this subject. It has helped enlighten my mind and understand the HG more.

The last picture is of Christ with 2 girls and a boy. Just like troy and Sarah's family.
