The Peacock

My sister and I went to Taipan about 2 months ago. As we strolled around her daughter, Emily, pointed out this ugly peacock. Karen showed it to me and we both had the same idea! We would give this poor ugly creature to our parents for an anniversary gift! Apparently, my parents received a very ugly gold "statue" of a peacock for a wedding gift. We had it on our piano growing up. I think it finally got given to DI or thrown away. So I bought the bird, it was on clearance but was still $6! Can you believe it? Who would pay $6 for that? We would! Anyway, we gave them the gift last night and we all had a huge laugh. Then we joked how it could get passed along to everyone on their birthdays! I have a feeling this won't be the last time we will see this tragic thing.

Back to Life!

I just finished the "Twilight" series. I started to read these books to get my mind off of life. I needed an escape. And it worked! I couldn't put the first two books down! The third I took my time on. This last one, I really liked the beginning but as it went on... and on... and on... I felt it dragged on. I'm sorry to all those who absolutly LOVED it all but I have to say I was disappointed! It didn't end like I wanted it to. I really wanted Bella to stay human and live a happy normal life, maybe with Jacob. And all the build up of evil Vulturi or whatever it is, was just a huge let down. Let Bella kick their bums! Anywho, I'm glad I'm done with them so that I can get on with my life. I have piles of laundry to fold, floors to clean, toilets to scrub, a screaming baby.......

This is just precious and cute!

This is one of my favortie outfits. All four boys have worn it. Everyone at church just loved the hat! Cody smiles at everyone too. It just melts my heart.

Kyle's 5th Birthday

This is Kyle opening his gifts on his birthday, Sept 7th. After every gift, he would say "I don't like this." or "Why did you get me the same thing?" (We got him several different sets of Hot Wheel race tracks) He was just in a bad mood. It made me cry and Ty yell. He threatened to take all the toys back. It was not a fun birthday.
The next day I made the Spiderman cake.
After dinner, everyone came over and opened presents and had cake. (These are out of order)
We went to the Training Table with all my family since it is Kyle's favorite. (He really says to try thryi mac n cheese. It's delicious!)
My cute niece, Jessica. We were talking the whole time because she was going to the Homecoming dance. I was so excited for her!

Kyle's Birthday Party

We had pizza...
played games....
opened presents...
had cake....
and made a mess with silly string!
We invited a few of Kyle's friends over the day before his birthday for a party. It was "Spiderman" themed. I was going to make a cake but things were just too hectic that day so we bought one. Everyone had a good time. I was kinda upset though because no one wanted to wear the birthday hats! Not even Kyle who was the one who wanted them! So I was the only one that was festive enough to wear it the whole party. I'll spare you the photo!

My Babies

My two babies. Look at the difference in size. It's hilarious to see them next to each other! Nick and Cody are 15 months apart. It has been crazy but it is getting better as Nick grows up. He is no longer taking Cody's binky away. In fact he will jam it into Cody's mouth if he doesn't have one. We jsut moved Nick into Kyle's old room and moved Cody into the Nursery. It feels great to have everyone in their own rooms again. (we just wish Shawn and Kyle didn't have to share. they are crazy every night!) They are both really good boys. I can;t wait until they become best buddies like Shawn and Kyle are.

Kyle's 1st Day of Preschool

Kyle started his 2nd year of preschool on Sept 3rd. He is going to a different school this year. His last one had a lot of kids in his class and I think it didn't do a great job at getting him to interact. So we enrolled him at the school Shawn went to when we first moved up here. He didn't want to go on the first day. And then he wanted me to stay the whole time. But I finally talked him into I'll just walk him into the basement and stay for a little bit. So we went and I stayed for a bit and left. When I picked him up he was playing on the swing set with another little boy! He had made a friend! And he actually talked to him! And he said he loved it and was excited to go the next time. I was so relieved! Kyle has always been so shy and timid. He won't talk to other kids very often so I was extremly happy! He's growing up! He helps out around the house a lot and loves to be with me. I love him so much.

Cody Woke Up!!!! Ah!

Ah, I was about to do another post but Cody just woke up. Ah! (I'm saying "Ah!" a lot, aren't I?!)

Friday, September 12, 2008

Ah, I'm so tired! But I have so much to do! Here's my to do list:
-clean floors
-clean Shawn and Kyle's room
-organize scrap room
-read Breaking Dawn ( I really need to finish this so that I can get my life back)
-check food storage
-find a place to put food storage
-move Cody into Nursery
-move Nick into new room
-clean and organize that new room
-get things for Super Saturday album project
-org. kithchen drawers
-org our closet
-redecorate
-find a blank wall somewhere in the house to put some more vinyl lettering up!
-run outside everyday
On top of all this I've been running around taking Kyle to preschool, helping Shawn with homework, helping Ty out a lot at the office, soccor practices, dinners, running after Nick (he has been a little pill lately), etc. Like I said before, it's been hectic. But I'm sure it will slow down soon. I hope!

All My Boyz (well, ones I gave birth too)

All nice and seated...
uh oh, Nick's struggling, hurry, take more pictures....
Ah, he's starting to whine but all the other boys are smiling.
going, going.....
gone! He's outta here!

Every Sept I do a scrapbook album about all my sons. I write descriptive words to describe them, get their weight and height, write what they like to eat, say, and do, write about something cute they've done, and then I put some pictures from the past year. I do one tri fold page per boy and then I do one with all four. It is a really great way to see how they've grown and their personality has changed or stayed the same. And it's really fast and you don't have to think too hard. Anyway, I was compiling pictures to go into the album but found that I didn't have any of all 4 of them. So I felt daring and tried to get one. Here are the results.

Hectic Life

Sorry everyone. I know everyone is just SOOOO interested in our life! But it has been nonstop around here! There are soccor games, practices, projects, homework, shopping, cleaning, birthday party, birthday, baby, an 18 month old running around getting into EVERYTHING, no sleep, etc, etc, etc. So hopefully I will find time to write about all that stuff. Just, not now! Gotta go run around some more! See Ya!
