Shawn has Croup! Yay for Croup!!! Croup is the funnest illness there is! Yeah, all that wheezing at night and not being able to breathe is way fun. Staying up half the night looking in on your child to make sure they're okay is the best! And don't forget the beautiful "barking" cough that fills the air! So pretty! Oh, and the GREATEST part of it all........wondering when, not if, but when the other children are going to get it! Aren't you all jealous of the fun we're having at the Parkin house?!

Christmas Eve
We celebrate each Christmas Eve with Ty's side of the family.
This is McCall (my neice) and Cody. They were both dressed up in Holiday apparel and Sarah (my SIL) and I thought it was so fun to sit them together and take tons of pictures. McCall is about 5 months younger then Cody.
We make Santa's favorite cookies... No Bakes. They just happen to be Ty's favorite too! We set them out on a plate for Santa.
Doesn't everyone open pj's on Christmas Eve? Ty got me these stinkin' cute pink pj's. I got Ty some pj bottoms but they were way too big. ANd the boys LOVED their Star Wars the Clone Wars pj's.
Yay for jammies!
The kids wanted to take a picture of me and Ty kissing. So here we are goin in for it....
...and here we are during it! The boys were wondering why we ended up laying down.

Here is a picture of our Ghetto Star. I stood on a tall stool to get that star on the top. It would not stay standing up! It took me about 5 mins to get it the way I wanted it to. My arms were tired! So it was standing straight up and then 10 mins later, Shawn was jumping around and this is what happened to it. It fell over. I kept asking Ty to straighten it but he never did.
Here is a full view. Notice that it is only decorated half way up. This is because Nick would destroy the decorations if he could reach them. And I only put on about a fourth of the ornaments we usually have. I was sick when we finally put it up on the 14th and just didn't want to bother with it.

Snow Fort
Man, I HATE SNOW!!! It's cold, it's ugly when it's been on the ground for a while, it's cold, it makes the house a mess when you walk in, and it's COLD! But my boys love it for some reason. They went out about 4 times this one day. They built a snow fort. It is pretty good. It's better then any I ever made!
They would come knock on the back door and ask me to video tape them every once in a while. One time while I was, They were trying to roll this huge snow ball into place. Well, they couldn't! It was just too big and heavy. So Shawn eventually got up and walked to the fence. Then he turned around and ran as fast as he could toward the snowball and ran into it, hoping to move it. It didn't budge! It was funny. But they somehow found the strength to get it to the spot they needed it to be.
I asked them if they played in the fort and they both go, "No, we just built it". All that time and they're not even going to play in it?
It was good to see them work together.

Illness Update
I hope everyone has a good Holiday. I will be posting our pics and stuff later. But I just wanted to give an illness update. Ty and I are still coughing away. It's worse at night and in the mornings. Ty also has a sore throat. I still have no energy. Kyle is also still coughing. And today Shawn woke up with a 103* fever and a sore throat and no voice and way bad coughing. It just does not end! Cross my fingers that Nick and Cody stay healthy.

Man Cold
This is hilarious! Ty has been sick all this time too. I think he has what I have but not as bad. So it's been miserable. Anyway, Ty doesn't act like this for the most part but he reminded me of this so I needed to put it up! Watch it, it's so worth it!
So I am still sick. Argh! Will I ever get better? Will I ever get my energy back? I was finally starting to feel a little better on Weds and Thurs so I took the kids. I felt so bad for Ty because his dad was outta town all last week and his work is nonstop right now. But by Friday morning I was like, "You need to take them today." I was out of energy again! Ty took me to Instacare on Friday. They thought it was strep but the results were negative. Then they thought I might have mono because of the severe sore throat and no energy. But that came back negative also. So they basically said "Stop being a baby and deal with it!" SO Saturday and today I've been coughing up green gunk (tmi?) and oh yeah, I have pink eye! Kyle had it and I guess he gave the marvelous gift to me! So I've been obsessing with washing my hands and I'm trying not to touch the babies. It's so hard! My eyeballs sting and are constantly watery. So who knows when I'll be back up to par. I hope soon.

My Sweet Boys!
I have been really sick these past few days. My awesome loving hubby, Ty, has taken all the boys to work with him. Even though he's the only one there this week and is way way busy! He is the best and I love him tons. Anyway, the first night I was sick, I felt like I was going to die. You all know how that feels! Ty put the two younger boys to bed and then he went back to work to finish stuff off. I had Shawn and Kyle come into my room and asked them to each say a prayer for me to get feeling better. It was so sweet! I thanked them and they went into the other room. A couple minutes later they came back with some cards:
This one is from Shawn. It's a picture of him and me and a heart. At the bottom he wrote "Deb do not lev (leave) us." I asked him what he meant by that and he said "Don't go up to heaven!" I thought it was so sweet.
Later he came back with another one:

I am so proud at his writing! It's not perfect but to just see him writing and be able to read it makes me so proud of him!
Kyle drew a picture of me holding a cup and he says that I drop it and then he says he's cleaning it up for me. Do you see the heart he drew in them? How cute! The little package on the left has a cute story. The next day I was laying in bed trying to sleep. Kyle came in and asked if he could have some candy. I said yes. So he brought a little pack of mini m&ms and a body parts gummy leftover from Halloween for me to open. I opened them for him and he went to the kitchen to eat them. 10 mins later he comes back with the body parts package filled with the m&ms and gives it to me. He had the biggest smile on his face. He is always so thoughtful and wanting to "give me a break."
I love them so much!

Hangin Out
We went to DownTown Disney to get souveniers.

Shawn has a toy knife that he's putting into the skeleton. Shawn wanted a toy knife and telescope and Kyle wanted an Indiana Jones kit.
A robor made of legos.
This hot tub rocked! It was so cold in Florida (60* to 65*) that this hot tub felt so good! The jets were so strong. I put on one of the kids life vests and got pushed around by the jets. It was fun.
The rest of the pool was soooo cold. The boys went in it for a while. They're crazy!
It was such a nice vacay! I want to do a shout out to Ty's parents, Kris and Dick, and say a big THANK YOU for watching the younger two boys. I heard that they tired Kris out. So thanks again. we had a blast!

To get Kyle on the Everest ride, we had to put a stack of napkins in his shoes. He was a half inch short but with the napkins, he passed by just fine! Here's his thumbs up.
But he and Shawn did not like the ride. It was cool though. You went backwards in the dark. It was crazy. I was actually scared when I saw the Yeti.

I really enjoyed Epcot. Ty thinks I'm lame because I do! We went on "Soarin" which I have been waiting for 7 years to go on! Everytime we went to Disneyland or Florida Ty would say that it was really lame and we never went on it. I loved that ride! It was so cool! And the kids loved it too. Some girl even threw up right by us after it! So don't ever listen to Ty, it is a cool ride!
