Molly Puppy

Molly is doing such a great job at potty training! She has only had two accidents. We are amazed. We puppy pee pad train her and we are amazed at her. It has been so nice not to worry about accidents. The main problem is with biting. She's a puppy and LOVES to bite at hands and feet. She especially loves attacking Nick. She will run him down and climb all over him. He loves it too. He has learned how to pick her up. He walks around the house with her. Usually he'll carry her to her room (our closet) and set her down by her food. I'm so glad we got her. She has helped me take my mind off of what happened.

Shawn the other night was in a bad mood. He had accidently knocked down the gate to Molly's room and it landed on top of her. He felt real bad. He went to the bathroom and was crying. When he came out I asked him what was wrong. He said through his tears that he wanted Maggie back. Of course I bursted into tears too. He said he missed her and that Maggie really loved him and never bit him like Molly does. We both hugged eachother and reminisced about Maggie. It was good to see that he grieved for her. I'm glad he was able to talk to me about his feelings. It made me feel better to talk about it too.

Daddy Time

Nick is always so excited when Ty gets home from work. He waves and smiles and runs to him as soon as he steps through the door. It is so precious. Ty usually goes right to the laptop (that we have named "Lappy") and lays on the couch. Nick loves to lay with Dad and jsut be close to him.

Jogger

So I was driving home from taking Ty to work (our 'burban is in the shop and we finally sold the Camry). Anywho, I was driving and I saw this guy jogging pushing a jogging stroller. Sounds innocent, doesn't it? Not so. He had his shirt off and he was all hairy and the skinny kind of flabby. To myself I go, "Oh!" like in shocked/disgusted kind of way. About 5 seconds later, Kyle, who's sitting in the back, says the EXACT same thing! We both started laughing and I say, "Did you just see what I saw?" And he says,"Yeah, that guy running with no shirt!" We just laughed the whole way home. We weren't laughing at the guy, he's just trying to be healthy and not get his shirt sweaty, we were just laughing together at the situation. So we're not mean people!

First Grade

I was looking at pictures last night of Shawn when he was about 18 months old. First of all, I noticed just how much he and Nick look alike! It's funny! But then it hit me, he is a big boy now. I felt this little tinge of pain inside my heart. I miss those early days of just us. I miss his adorable big blue eyes. I can't stop him from growing, but I cherish those memories! He is such a handsome boy!

Today was Shawn's first day of First Grade! He was so excited to go. He couldn't wait to get on that bus! I kept asking if he was scared or anxious and he said no, he was just excited. I then realized I was the one that was scared and anxious! All of those first day of school nerves just never leave you, even though it's not you that's going! I'm sitting here at the computer looking out the window and waiting for his bus. I can't wait to hear all about it!

Ninja Warrior Course

The boys put together a "Ninja Warrior Course" this morning. They love that show. See the youtube bar at the bottom of the page for a glimpse at the real Ninja Warrior show. "Kyle Parkin from the United States of America. Can he make it across?"
"And he did it! He has become the first American Ninja Warrior!"
"Shawn has trained on his replica he built in his backyard for months. Can all his training pay off?"

Nick fell on the first obstacle.

Cricut House Decor

I finally MADE time to play with my Cricut machine. For those of you in the dark, a cricut is a cool machine that cuts whatever you want. Like words, pictures, etc. It's really neat! I made some vinyl stuff and put it up in my house. Here are some pics:

Demolition Derby

We went to the demolition derby at the Davis County Fair last week with my sister and her family. It was my first time witnessing all the destruction and meyhem! It was awesome! I'm still trying to figutre out why it is so entertaining. The boys enjoyed it. And there was a great fireworks display after.mud sliggin' fun!

Cody's Doctor Visit

Cody went to the doctor's for his 2 month check up. He weighs 9 lbs 13 ozs and is 22 1/2 inches long. He is still so tiney! He's in the 11th % for weight and 33% for height. He is our smallest baby. Even smaller then Kyle was by half a pound! He got a couple of shots. Oh, you feel so bad for the little guy!

Our New Addition

We got another doggie today. I know it's only been about a week and a half since Maggie left us but I have been so lonely. So we got another Maltese. We're naming her Molly. She is 6 1/2 weeks old. Hopefully she'll fit in with the fam. And I atleast have another female around!

First Smiles

Cody started smiling a couple weeks ago. He didn't do it very often at first so I wasn't able to get any pictures. But now once he starts, he can't stop! He also starting to coo. Very Sweet! It's great that he is getting a personality.

Ty's New Toy

Ty has been looking for a hobby. Well, after boating up in McCall can you guess what his new hobby is??? Boating. So he bought a boat last Tuesday. He was buying it at the same time the whole Maggie thing happened. He got it so that we can be a close family. I think it will be used more as the boys get older. He is very proud of it. He's been cleaning it and putting new speakers in it. He hasn't taken it out yet and he's wondering when he can! Because we bought it the same day as losing Maggie, I suggested we name it "Maggie." Maybe we'll put it in vinyl on the side.

Something Happy

Here is something to cheer everybody up!

My niece Jassica is the cutest thing! She turns 16 this December. She and I have always been really close. Well, one night at a family dinner she pulled out these ridiculously huge sunglasses. I immedialty told her we need to take pics in them someday. Last night she cam up to keep me company and she brought them! I was so excited. We snapped away! My brother Steve dropped by with a choc cake and to say sorry about our loss. We had a great time hanging out. It got my mind off of things.
