Shawn is in Second grade this year. He did not want to go back to school. He would say it's too boring and it takes up all his time so he can't spend anytime with his family. He just had a bad attitude! But he came home from the first day all excited and happy. He LOVED his teacher and had a lot of fun and a lot of friends in his class.
First Day of 2nd Grade
Kyle is going into Kindergarten. He didn't actually go to school that day, it was just a meeting to get to know your teacher and stuff. His first day is next Monday (I can't wait!). He was already dressed and wanted to take pics so I did. He is excited to go to school. He has a great attidude! And he says that he's not shy anymore! He went in for his testing and knew almost all the answers!

Quick Update
Here's an update on our Fam:
Nick has been going pee pee on the potty about 3 times a day. He all of the sudden wants to use the potty! I'm fine with that! So I'm not really forcing him to use the potty but I ask him every now and then. After he goes pee pee he stands up and screams and puts his hands in the air and dances and jumps around. I usually join him for this. It makes me real happy!
We sent our dog, Molly, to Doggie BootCamp. She is there for 6 weeks while they train her to behave and stuff. We get her back this Friday. Last time we saw her (yesturday) she was doing awesome in the place command and other things. She is so different then before! Bella is having accidents all the time. She is driving me crazy. But she's so cute.
Shawn starts 2nd grade this next Monday. Kyle starts Kindergarten the following Monday. I have really been helping Kyle with reading. He is more prepared then Shawn was for Kindergarten. It is crazy what they expect out of them these days.
Ty has decided to finish the basement. We spent all weekend clearing our crap out. That is going to be a big project but it will be worth it, right honey?! He is going crazy though because he hasn't been boating for a month. Ah!
Cody is still crawling around and getting into things. He is so cute. He smiles all the time and is just so sweet. He's eating more regular foods now so I am happy we're not buying baby food ever again! Yeah! I sold the baby swing, bassinet, and gave clothes away so it is official we are not having anymore babies. Of course, we probably jinxed ourselves now! Oh well, if we do have another it'll be a girl, right?!
I'm trying to take the days minute by minute. It's still really hard. I think maybe having the boys in school will help out some. But then they won't be here to help me! Nick is really causing issues. He gets into EVERYTHING! I love him to pieces but sometimes it's hard to enjoy him. Is this wrong? I feel so bad. He is sweet and cute most of the time but the other times he is a terror! How long does PostPartum Depression last?
That's about all that's been happining around here.

Deb the SeamSTRESS (and I mean stress!)
I received a sewing machine for my birthday last March. I was excited to receive it but I was overcome with immense stress and anxiety. I have not sewn since 7th or 8th grade when I sewed boxer shorts with cows on them. And they didn't turn out too well. But I was determined to sew something. I wanted curtains in my great room/kitchen. So I looked for some fabric that I liked but never found any. I would ask my sister where she shopped for fabric since she is the grand master of sewing. Just even talking to her about it though made my insides tense up and my brain get all frizzled. I was so nervous! Probably because I didn't want to do a horrible job, I mean everyone that would come into this house would see what I had made. Although not very many people come by so maybe that shouldn't have been a concern. Anyway, I finally found some fabric that I loved and I wasn't at all nervous to buy it! I was very proud of myself. Over the next several weeks I sewed curtains and then I got brave and sewed some pillow covers. I think I called my sister like a million times to ask stupid questions. Like one time, I was sewing and the machine was going real slow. I had the foot pedal down all the way and it was still so slow. I looked in the manuel and everything but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. About and hour later I remembered in my class (yes, I took a class on my machine and how to use it!) that you can control the speed by this little button thingy. I felt dumb. So I adjusted it and was on my way. SO here are the pics of the finished products. I have more curtains hanging in the other areas of the kitchen but you get the idea. Just please don't look so closely at them, they really aren't done that well! But they are MIL approved!
A curtain.Notice how I tied them up? You know why? I couldn't sew a straight seam so I thought you won't be able to tell if I tied them up like this!
Rooster Tail
Cody has this cute "rooster tail" thing going on. Whenever I get him out of the bath and dry his hair, these little pieces in the back just stick right up! I'm tempted to put a little bow around it and take some pics for blackmail later in his life!
