We took the oldest two boys to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple openhouse last week. All day long they were both protesting about going. "It's going to be boring.." blah, blah, blah. I sat down with them and had a discussion about what goes on in the Temple and how beautiful of place it is and how we feel Heavenly Father there. We got there and watched a video about Temples and then we went in. The boys fav. part was the baptismal font. They liked the ox. I liked it because there were pictures of Jesus getting baptized all around it and it reminded you of the significance of what goes on there. I loved pointing out all the beautiful little details there were. Like the stars on the windows and the pretty chandiliers. We went in a sealing room and sat down and listened to a couple talk. And after is what the boys really liked....COOKIES! The choc. chip ones are the best, fyi. Then we went to Baskins for ice cream. It was a great experience.

A few days after we went to my cousins wedding reception and they asked if we were going to the Temple to see them get married. I explained they already got married in the Temple that morning and we were just going for a celebration. Then Shawn asks, "Well, we got sealed, didn't we?" And Kyle goes, "Well Shawn, we went into a sealing room, duh. Of course we're sealed." Ty and I smiled. I explained there has to be a special ceremony that takes place to seal families and we haven't had that yet. I don't know if they understand all of that or not. It's hard to know what to say when the boys ask questions like that. I wish I could give a different answer. Oh well, maybe someday we all will be back in that sealing room. Maybe.
