Jazz Game

Ty got my niece, Jess, to babysit so that we can go on a very much needed date. He got us 10th row seats to the Jazz game. They played the Cavs with LeBron James.
Ty bought me a Harpring jersey before the game and he wore his Harpring jersey so we were twinners! The row behind us made fun of us because of it but we didn't care, Matt is a way good player!

Here are the Jazz warming up.

There's Matt! Ty and I both agree that he is a handsome guy!

There's Matt again, shooting! He made it!

There's Matt running around.

Tip Off.

There's Matt, #15!

Double Bonus! Matt AND Kyle Korver!

Matt shooting a free throw. He made it!

Warming up after half time. There's Matt under the basket! Kyle is on the bottom right! (side note: Kyle has real skinny white stick legs. No wonder he wears his socks pulled up!)

There's Matt attempting a 3 pointer!

Before the game started, we noticed a Grandma came and sat next to us and her husband and grandson sat in the row in front of us off to the side. I suggested to Ty that we see if they wanted to switch so they could sit by eachother. We asked and they were really grateful that we offered! So we switched and sat in the 9th row. After the 1st quarter, the man tapped my shoulder and handed me a big bucket full of popcorn! How nice! SO it was great to help them out!

We lost but it was still fun. We hung around after the game watched the postgame show that's on KJZZ. I am modeling my jersey for them!
Yay for my Matt Harpring jersey!
We walked to our car and found this... we were upset but luckily there was no damage done. Way to go Range Rover, learn how to back up without hitting the car behind!

This is the coolest part:
When we got in the car I noticed that it was 10pm. I asked Ty if we could go to the channel 2 news place. They do their news on street level with windows behind them so you can see people outside. I begged and begged Ty that we should go there. I have always wanted to go do that! So, we called Jess to record the news and went! It was so much fun! We jumped around in our matching jerseys and at one point, Ty lifted me up! It was hilarious! If you ever come to our house, you'll have to watch it.
Ty waiting for the cameras to come on!

After, we were laughing so hard and talking about how cool we were. Then we went to cross the street and I grabbed 2 flags. Ty grabbed 2 flags and then we waited for cars to come so they would have to stop for us. We crossed swinging our arms and dancing across. We were laughing soo sooo hard! We had such a great time! It was so fun to be goofy and wierd.
We went to DQ in Centerville for ice cream. There is a corner booth there that we always sit at, ever since we started dating 10 years ago. Ty pointed out one of the first times we sat there that someone had etched a "TY" into the table. He always told me he didn't do it, but he has recently confessed.Me at our booth in my Harpring jersey!
It was such a fun night! We haven't had a date in a long time. We really needed it too, life has been hard for the both of us. It was great to get reconnected with eachother.

Not Again!

So, it happened again last night. Just when we thought we were in the clear. Shawn awoke throwing up around 11pm. And he threw up a lot. And it smelled awful. He threw up about 3 more times during the night and had diarriah. It took a long time to clean it all up. I was exhausted. And Cody woke up about 5 times last night too during all this. And then around 6am, Kyle threw up! And he also had diarriah. What is up????? Luckily, after some recovery time on the couch this morning, they are both better. There has been no throwing up since. They are running around and behaving like the crazy hyper boys they are. So we have no idea what they had or have. It's real frustrating. It has been 2 solid months that our family has been sick.
I feel I am just on the edge. I feel like there is no relief, ever. I am constantly running around the house cleaning up after Nick or cleaning up vomit. I'm just out of steam. I'm trying to get my house organized too. Have you ever noticed how a messy house just weighs on you and runs you down? I'm trying to atleast try to get control of that part of my life. If everything has a place, then that would clear my mind up, I think. I just need to find time and the patience and the energy to actually do it. With 4 kids, I am literally running around the house taking care of them. I'm changing diapers, throwing the diapers in the outside garage, giving baths, making lunch, making dinner, paying bills, taking kids to school, going up and down the stairs, folding laundry, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning counters, feeding a bottle, feeding cereal, vacuuming, giving discipline, grocery shopping, taking kids to the doctors, helping Ty at work, getting kids dressed, etc, etc, etc. I'm getting all panicky just typing all those responsibilties I have.
I'm sorry for always writing about this kind of stuff. This is a hard time in my life. Maybe some day in the future I will become a stronger person from all this. I don't know. I just hope there is a reason Heavenly Father is laying all this on me. It really is a challenging time. I sometimes feel I am all alone. It's hard to ask for help.
I'm going to go eat some chocolate now. And maybe some ice cream after that. And watch the Jazz game. And stare at Matt Harpring.

Boxing Day

My mom is from England and in England the day after Christmas is Boxing Day. Don't ask me what it is or how it got started because I'm not sure. (I think it's when the Royal family gave all the boxes from their Christmas to the poor to live in and even eat??!!) Anyway when my Granny Shipp moved over here in 1993 we started doing this tradition. We get the whole family together and eat and talk and play the parcel game. The parcel game is fun! My Granny gets a really useless and small prize and wraps it in several layers of different wrapping paper. Every now and then she ties a ribbon around the parcel. What you do is take turns shaking the dice and if you roll a 6 or doubles it's your turn. You have to put on an apron and usually a hat and try to tear the parcel open using only forks. You do that until someone else rolls a 6 or doubles. And if you get a ribbon then you get a prize but you're out of the game. It gets loud and very competitive.Shawn is sad because he hasn't had a turn yet.
Go Kyle!
Yeah, Shawn got up!
I was almost to the tiny prize and then Ty rolled and he took over but I fought him over it. It turned out to be a silver dollar and a quarter. So we split it. You can tell how hard I fought by my hair all disheveled.
Another tradition that happens on Boxing Day is how my Granny rambles on about how she's going to die soon. It seriously happens every year. We joke around about it. She's a good sport.

Our Luck

I am in tears writing this. Kyle is throwing up and has diarreah. What is up with our family? As soon as everyone is FINALLY over what ever it is we have had for a month, someone gets another sickness. I just don't want to deal with it. Throw up is the worst. It keeps you up all night and you have to change the sheets and disinfect and do laundry all at 2am. And then you do it again a half hour later. And to think it's going to go through three more boys and possibly myself. Ty is telling me we'll get through it. Of course we will, we have to. It's just really hard and I'm already exhausted and stressed out over this. I'm so stressed with worry of what's to come that I'm shaking. We'll keep you posted.
