Another Project

I have had my eye on these window frames at Ben Franklin forever. Finally they were half off and I had to get them! But I thought black was just too dull for me. So I painted them red.

But the red was to red for me. So I got some black paint and distressed it.
I am so happy with how it turned out!

This is what happens when I finally get some time to myself!

I found this idea also on the web. Subway art is all the rage these days. I made some for a couple of my neighbors a few months ago and knew I wanted one for myself. I really liked the words of this one. So this first pic is after I cut the words out. I layed it out to see how it would look.
THis one is upside down. But I put the vinyl on the canvas.
And then I painted over it with brown paint. And it turned out like this:
I love it. Cody wanted to take a pic with it.

Halloween Decor

About 2 years ago I found this adorable idea on the web (below). I knew I wanted to recreate it.
So I did, finally (first picture)! It was so fun to shop for Halloween papers and think of ways to spice it up. I used chipboard and Stickles to add sparkles. It was so much fun! I love Halloween!
The H has a cute witch hat
The L's are cute witch legs!
The O is a spider web.
And a cute little ghost on the end! I used my Cricut Expression to cut out everything.

What is Norwex??? A Disease?!

I had never heard of Norwex until a few weeks ago. And now I'm a Norwex consultant!
It isn't a disease or anything. It's a "green cleaning" system.
No more chemicals or sprays! Yay!
Norwex products consists mainly of micro fiber cloths:
These cloths clean so well. And what's cool is that there is silver embedded in the microfiber. Silver is a natural cleaning agent. So it picks up all 99.9% of all germs and bacteria as it cleans. And the germs stay on the cloth, they don't transfer from surface to surface. So you could clean your kitchen sink and then go and clean your counter top with the same cloth. It's fast and easy! For more info visit my website:

Give it a try and I know you'll be hooked!!!

What happened sometime within the past 4 months

Shawn won 5th place in the Raingutter Reggatta
The boys painted a bird house. We hung it up in a tree. No birds lived in it but in another tree Ty found a birds nest! So cute!

No more cribs in this house! I took down Cody's crib and moved him in to a big boy bed!
Swim lessons
Kyle made a cool Transformer mask.

The boys like to dress in costumes. It's so cute!

First Day

Nick and Cody are going to the same preschool but in different classes. This means that I actually get time to myself 3 times a week. I have not been by myself like this for 9 years! Yahoo!
Cody was so excited. After I picked him up he said, "I miss mommy at preschool. But I not cry!"
Nick is doing awesome this year. He loves to go!
The beginning of a new school year reminds me how big and grown up my boys are getting.
Shawn is in 4th grade. His teacher is AWESOME!!!! Hopefully he will make up for the crappy teachers he's had for the past 2 years!
Kyle is in 2nd grade. He is doing great and is so smart!

Shoe Problem

My laundry room is also our mudroom. As soon as you walk through the door you have the washer and dryer right there. So I have had the problem for the past 5 years of everyone leaving their shoes right in front of the  washer and dryer making it hard to do laundry and it was a mess. I have been wanting to do something.
Well, I went to Target and saw these locker shelves. I got 5 of them and hoped they would fit betweent the wall and washer. Well, they do!!! So now everyone has their own shoe shelf to put their shoes on!
I'm pretty proud of myself!
